#1 Croatian Daily buys TARK, Tera Archiving System

Vecernji List, the largest Croatian daily paper, recently chose Tera’s archiving system Tark as their solution for archiving pictures, stories and multimedia files.

The paper, based in Zagreb (Croatia), is owned by the Austrian media group Stiria and, with a daily circulation of 200 thousand copies is the largest daily paper in Croatia, now also reaching the German and the Bosnia-Herzegovinian markets with two foreign editions.

“I’m very happy that they choose the TARK archiving system.” – said Zdenka Starcevic, sales manager of Netcom, exclusive distributor for TERA solutions in the former Yugoslavian area – “TARK is a full web aware library system where data can be searched from any standard web browser. This means that the data stored in Tark is not only available to the newspaper’s staff on the local intranet, but can also be published to the public as is via the Internet.”

“The concept of re-purposing and re-selling information, which is becoming more and more important to newspapers ” – continues Ms. Starcevic – “is a milestone in the Tark design. As part of this, Tark offers also specific functions for e-commerce.”
