John Juliano Joins Tera as Marketing Head

Milan, Italy - Tera DP announced that John V. Juliano, industry professional, has joined Tera Digital Publishing as Manager of Worldwide Marketing and Reseller Sales.
Tera is a Milan, Italy-based supplier of Content Management, Archiving and Editorial solutions to the newspaper publishing industry. The privately held company was founded in 1990 and currently counts more than 300 titles worldwide. Within its market space, Tera is the dominant supplier in many of the countries and market segments where it distributes its products.
Mr. Juliano has worked in the newspaper publishing industry since the late 1970s when he was with Digital Equipment Corp. Juliano was also head of JJCS for 25 years, and that company ranged from a one-person company to seven people as the company took on various projects and markets.
During his time with the industry, Mr. Juliano has worked on some of the very first projects to publish newspapers and other publications from a database, something that is standard today. He wrote one of the first prototypes to fully paginate classified ad pages complete with display ads. JJCS was well known in the 1990s as the company that supplied bridges from then current editorial systems to the new desktop pagination products, such as Atan Express and Blue Skii Express which are estimated to have saved newspapers tens of millions of dollars.
During the same period, JJCS worked with European vendors as they entered the American market. For the past four years, Mr. Juliano has been working behind the industry scenes arranging deals, negotiating contracts, brokering acquisitions and conducting market studies.
