Dominican Republic’s Media Team Dominica selects GN3 as System for the Future

Media Team Dominica has purchased a Tera GN3 editorial production and content management system for use in its weekly newspaper Clave and the electronic daily Clave Digital, both of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Tera’s reseller for the region, Graphic Systems International (GSI), handled the sale.

“We searched for an editorial system that fit our current needs and will allow us to adapt to the future needs of the journalistic and editorial market of the Dominican Republic,” said Faust Rosary Adames, general manager of MTD and director of Clave and Clave Digital. “After analyzing several offers from other suppliers, we chose the proposal from GSI for its versatility, easy management and business reputation.

He said that with GN3 ‘‘we are going to form a production chain capable of satisfying all the publishing needs by linking each one of the departments in real time to obtain the optimal performance of the production tools as well as human resources".

The software will allow the organization to better manage the newsgathering, editing and production processes, with modules for handling wire copy, layout and pagination, work flow, production control and archiving.

Germán Acevedo, vice President of Operations of Florida-based GSI, said the installation would help Media Team Dominica’s modernize all its production processes.

‘‘GN3 is long recognized as the best editorial production and content management product by the Latin American market,’’ said John Juliano, Tera Manager of Marketing and Reseller Relations. ‘‘Media Team Dominica chose GN3 for all the reasons that make Tera the powerhouse of the Latin American market. GSI provides matching industry experience and superb customer support.’’
